All the talk recently has been about how far advanced everything in the garden is with snowdrops, primroses and early daffodils blooming in the middle of January. These flowers remind us that the first major event in the garden club calendar fast approaches, the Spring Show!
The date is 31st March and we hope that we will have lots of support from the village with plenty of entries, not just flowers, but also in the photography categories.
The categories this year are 'Sport' and 'Great British Landscapes' in keeping with the two major events that will dominate our year.
For the children the entries are red, white and blue animal picture/model or a posy of Spring flowers and leaves in a cup.
This year we are launching a series of monthly open meetings for members and anyone who may be interested in finding out more about the club. These informal meetings will give those interested in gardening a chance to chat, swap seeds, plants and ideas.
24th April 7.30p.m. at Mulberry Cottage. Bring your own refreshments. Notices will be put around the village nearer to the date.
